I tend to like portraits of people smoking.
It’s like in that moment, there is often a reflection of thought/emptying of thoughts or a moment of feeling/non-feeling. I normally find it quite interesting to try and capture.

Nice shot. Really high contrast and key light. To show more of the smoke you need a dark background and light coming from behind the subject.
Thanks Pat! It was very much a candid shot so I couldn’t really set up the light to highlight the smoke etc – but that’s solid advice if I decide to do a smoky shot in future.
