When i was a boy, i loved MacGyver.

Not only because the TV show had a kick ass theme tune that ended on an awesome freeze-frame explosion, but MacGyver was someone who i admired and really felt i could relate to.

Here was a dude that hated violence, and always did his best to help others out. He used smarts and charm, not like those fools over at the A-Team or Airwolf. All he needed was a Swiss Army knife and some duck tape (i admit i used to carry those two things around with me when i was young - just in case i had two minutes to simultaneously diffuse a bomb and create traps for oncoming baddies). My vivid imagination has always been both my ally and opposition…

I can give you a list of some of the characteristics that tie me to this name and body:

  • I went to UCT, studied alcohol and parties Media & Writing/English Lit/Psychology
  • I’m interested in almost everything and everyone
  • I can be a slobbering idiot for people i love

Actually, if i have to describe myself, I’d rather like to say that I’m still just a little boy trying to be more like MacGyver: trying to help, being smart when i have to, being creative and intuitive, rocking a mullet and blowing shit up.
