The long wait.
Just a dude on a pier. Its funny how sad and romantic are often the same thing.
Mad sunset ablaze over Signal Hill.
Sometimes sunsets bring out the zombies in us – we take out the camera, and without thinking point towards the light. So, although I try and avoid taking direct pictures of sunsets – there are times like this when the sky and clouds are lit up in amazing ways that you just have to let […]
Lost Without You.
So while I was writing this up I had iTunes on shuffle and up came a Robin Thicke song, “Lost Without You”. I looked at the photo and thought, oh, ok. I’ve recently discovered the amazing photography of Ansil Adams. By all accounts a larger than life personality with just enough genius, paradox, and eccentricity […]

I thought this was cool. The school uniform, the cigarette, the Gatsby R50 written on the hand.
Sand Dunes at Bettie’s Bay
Took this shot during a weekend away earlier this year. It’s amazing how if you get a little creative with your perspective while shooting, you can come up with much more interesting compositions. I took this lying down on my stomach, with a mouthful of wind-swept sand as evidence.
